Kanye West is Superman

It’s all over the fashion news! Kanye West is going to launch his Spring 2012 ready to wear fashion label this September at New York Fashion Week.  With the help of Louise Goldin , London’s top Central Saint Martins’ director of MA of the fashion course, Kanye to be introduced to the high fashion industry as a designer.

Don’t think that he’s not going to have any say into his own designs.  Goldin’s own mentor Louise Wilson at Central Saint Martins expressed that Kanye is very much involved in the design process and even came to London recently to hire interns for their label.  He is also a major supporter of the school and has made immediate donations and is completely devoted to fashion.

Goldin is well known for her knitwear designs and the duo is currently working in her London studio.

West is a major front row fixture at seasonal fashion shows, and recently attended the Givenchy couture presentation and Azzedine Alaia’s show in Paris.  His fashion network definitely keeps on growing- with friends such as Givenchy’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci and many others it’s no doubt that Kanye will be a fashion phenomenon!

He’s no noob when it comes down to the fashion industry, in 2008 he founded an urban streetwear label, Pastelle but he announced it would never be released.  He recently released a limited-edition line of scarves inspired by the cover for his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.  He also interned at Fendi, collaborated on a line of sneakers with Nike and Louis Vuitton, collaborate with Stubbs and Wootton slippers, and dabbled in fashion writing for Complex magazine. WHAT CAN’T THE MAN DO?

Goldin has worked with Rihanna on projects and touring in her clothes.

No  news on what we can except from the line yet, but I know one thing for sure…definitely need to snag an invite and that is non-negotiable.
